These one-week clinics are led by a certified biology and earth
science teacher. Campers will explore various fields of science and nature through
hands-on experiments, films, discussions, outdoor excursions and field trips.

campers develop self-esteem and respect for the environment.

Teen Travel Camp will be housed in the Brunswick Acres School
gym. Equipped with couches, ping-pong tables, air hockey, TV/VCR and cassette
player, youths will have a blast during those times they are not on a field trip,
at the shore, bowling or swimming at the quarry.
The camp blends aspects of day camp with daily trips geared
toward older kids. The camp goes on one full-day trip, spends one day at the
Jersey Shore, goes on two half-day trips, two overnights (with one adventurous
out-of-this-state outing) and spends one day giving back to the community. A
special emphasis will be on teaching teens that they have a lot to contribute
to the community in the way of service. Teaching and modeling character development
will be an underlying theme of this camp.

Courses: Pop Art Sculpture, Creative Dance, Story Book Theater
and Mythical Creatures. The Cranbury Arts Council’s Summer Workshops for Young
Artists is a program designed to introduce the children to a variety of art mediums
and allow them to express themselves creatively. The Pop Art Sculpture class
will work and explore modeling and construction in the styles of Andy Warhol,
Roy Lichtenstein, and Claus Oldenberg. The Creative Dance class will explore
dance as means of dramatic expression through improvisation. The Story Book Theater
class will focus on the fun of the dramatic character by writing and performing
a story adaptation using one of their favorite classics. The Mythical Creature
class will create collages of mythical creatures like unicorns, dragons and griffins
in the style of famous children’s book author Eric Carle. Classes are in one-week sessions in the afternoon from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The average weekly tuition
for each half-day session is $95.
